During my second year at University we were set a project where we were given a title, with that title we had to create a photo series. I was given the title of Always Running, This title had many different ideas but the one that came back time and time again was electricity. It is something we often take for granted today, we tend to forget it is always there. Though now decommissioned Oldbury Power station, which is situated on the River Severn in the South West of England, used to power thousands of homes in the UK. I used this site because it was one of the only accessible power-plants for the public around the south west, there being a public footpath around the perimeter of the site. From there I followed the what would be the journey of the power, through transformers to our homes and appliences.
